Age of Kings

Hey Guys! All of you know that Remy and I are collectors first and are an active part of the collector club. We have tried to make the Age of Kings sales field level for everyone. We know some collectors have been angry about how quick our items sell. We do not know how to solve the problem. We post new items every Friday at the same time of day. We have found that many collectors have advanced programs that jump to the site the instant it comes up. We are open to recommendations or comments, please contact me on this link or send me a private message or to my email address at: [email protected].

Hey, great of you to reach out Randy.

Personally I like your first come first served approach to business.

Naturally it's very frustrating as a collector to miss pieces that would sit just right in my collection but I'd rather that than never have the chance of a shot at them at all.

I'm sure lots of us remember waiting for typed lists to drop through the mail box from dealers......things have certainly moved on since then.....

You got to be in it to win it !

Thanks for the fab items you offer btw......love looking at the pictures even if I can't afford the item !

Cheers Tony 🍻

Hi Randy - I agree with the comments here. Your current approach is fair and the velocity of sales is just a testament to your reputation and excellent prices. I much prefer to know when updates are made on a regular basis that compulsive site watching to hope I accidentally catch something that just randomly posted. And Ed is right - whatever method you choose some folks won't be happy with it. You guys are doing a great job and are an asset to the community, IMO. 👍 Jeff

I too agree with all of the above. It’s natural for people being disappointed when someone beats them to a deal. It’s like being at a show and the person in front of you at the table pulls out the cash for that special item. Keep up the great work Randy! I can’t think of a thing you could do any differently.

Thanks guys! We are always trying to improve our service. Now that Remy and I are retiring from our regular jobs, we hope to find more goodies for our own collections and the website too. Remy will attend the Gunzenhausen Show next week and I fly to Europe in mid October to go to the Ciney Show. It is always a "treasure hunt".

Hi Randy,

I wish I had a brilliant answer that would make everyone happy and improve the process, but I really don't think there is one.

Like already stated you guys do a wonderful job not only finding beautiful items but also in the way your able to bring them to market.

Happy hunting and Safe travels to you both.

Randy, I haven’t bought anything from you guys due to affordability on my end, but I echo everyone’s points here. You’re doing a fine job with the site, I think it’s a plus on your end to announce when the next available update comes.

If you like any opinions here, and don’t know exactly how much you go on social media, perhaps it helps to post a quick preview there on any upcoming items to the next update. That might help others plan ahead and know exactly what’s coming up.

But that’s only my two bits. From the opinions of everyone here, there’s no issues with your business and I certainly agree. Thank you for coming on by!

Hello to all,

I only have bought a single time a helmet from AOK (a very mint EM FAR 9 helmet, which is very local for me). This was shortly and I was lucky to successfully conclude the transaction with Remy because the helmet was in France and was offered for a long time on the AOK homepage, curiously without any collectors interest for it (maybe the price?). This transaction was on top (y) Thank you Remy!
But for me, a french collector living in Germany, (old Europe 😊 ) it is absolutely impossible to be able to compete financially when a helmet is located in the US, because of the customs duties that have then to be paid in Germany, which are very high. So when a helmet that I might like comes up on AOK, I can't quickly press the buy button until I know where the item is located, because blocking the item and then finding out that it's not in France isn't very fair either.
As a result, I waste time and miss out some good helmets...
Philippe

Randy, I believe your policies and prices are fair, and I don’t complain. I do get frustrated occasionally, but I’ve been fortunate enough to be the lucky buyer on a few occasions, so I suppose it’s a fair system overall.

As always, I appreciate you and Remy. Working with you two is a pleasure, to say the least.

Hey Randy

Agree - it’s as fair as possible. As with Amy I just pop on the website every Friday at your specified time and other than a hi speed Internet connection I have nothing advanced to speak of. Won some lost some alls fair in love and war. You have a great site and enjoy being back in the hobby with you and Remy as trustworthy, fair and reliable dealers. Just don’t take all the good helmets for your collection and leave some for the rest of us lol.

Cheers
Doug
