Anniversary, and a trophy

However, if you look more closely you can see something written by hand on the chinstrap: Villeseneux Marne, and 5 Sep. bre 1914
Villeseneux is a small town near Reims, in Northeastern France. It is less than 40 miles away from the Fort de la Pompelle. At the start of the Marne battle, Villeseneux was right on the front line.
A touching souvenir from one of the most famous battles of WWI, brought back by a French soldier exactly 111 years ago.
