What do you mean by bad? Bad condition?
The helmet is legit.

Bruno:

I must admit that I don't have any aspirations to own a GDC parade helmet. Frankly, and this may get me banned; I think they look rather silly. Too "over the top" for my liking. so I haven't spent much time researching them.

That said; is that black blob in the shape of an eagle on the Wappen really legit? I pose the question in all seriousness. It strikes me as odd that the GDC of all units would accept that level of quality.

Steve- I am no expert on these, but I believe the "Blob" adler as you call it is legit, looking at mine it is the same. There was a post somewhere on the forum discussing this a while ago and showing the different types.

Hello,
No problems with the M67 headphones. The eagle-crest is perfect, it has its M71 modification, the 4 screws have been cut and riveted to the willow leaf base, and the fixing is now just a central screw and a ‘butterfly’ nut. It is also in a condition consistent with the rest of the helmet (damage).
But as I said, to be sure, you need to have access to the underside of the base.

This is a genuine M62, modified M71. (The 4 screw heads have been riveted, as the threaded rods have been cut).

Here is an M71 (the 4 rivets have disappeared).

Here is a good M15, no longer in nickel silver, but in zamak, i.e. the tin has been replaced by aluminium and zinc (Kriegsmétal).

The reproductions do not have identical fixings.

Oh yes, Steve. The roughly shaped, black painted small bird at the center of the star was the rule on enlisted helmets. No question here.
