Hey guys. I got a few photos from a friend of mine wanting some info on this bayonet he has. He’s not much into militaria and I don’t know a whole an about bayonets myself. Also, how much could he potentially get from this? Thanks for your answers

It's a 3rd Reich era bayonet, K98. I see that it's dated 1937 in the code shown. You can probably google K98 bayonet price to see the current price range they're selling for on eBay.

The price of a K98 bayonet can vary, based on the condition and the seller. I'd suggest a look on eBay sold items list for K98 bayonets.

Here's an old forum post about maker marks on these, which can be an interesting topic in itself. https://www.k98kforum.com/threads/german-bayonet-manufacturers-and-their-codes.4819/

Current price on these is between $150 - $300 USD in varying conditions. Yours may be worth $175 or $200. Hopefully this helps some. I'd check around for a better price estimate, as price is always subjective.

I'd recommend your friend check for matching numbers on the Scabbard and blade aswell.

It's a Non matching set . Scabbard appears to be a Horster and blade a Holler

Any serial numbers on the blade?

Condition is fair. But doesn't look messed with or sharpened. Missing the frog as well.

A non matching set in this condition and with common makers I would estimate about 100 euro.
I sold a non matching one in very good condition not long ago for 125.
Of course in both cases without a frog.
