Can anyone verify the authenticity of this eBay pickelhaube?

I found this on eBay recently, and I am planning to buy it. The thing is, though, is that it is at a suspiciously low price. The seller sells around 50 other stuff, most of them being helmets or head gear from the 20th century. I just want to know if this is more genuine than its is fake, at least most of it.IMG_2707.jpegIMG_2710.jpegIMG_2712.jpegIMG_2713.jpegIMG_2714.jpegIMG_2715.jpegIMG_2716.jpegIMG_2717.jpegIMG_2704.jpegIMG_2705.jpegIMG_2706.jpegIMG_2708.jpegIMG_2709.jpeg

To me it looks like the spike base and the front plate have been reworked A lot of the members are at the S O S
Maybe you will hear more later

To me it looks like an M95 helmet that was reworked by the Bekleidungs Instandsetsungs Amt 7 into an M15.
Spike supportdisc is on the outside, it should be inside the helmet though. I have my doubts about the liner..

It could have been done in a hurry to equip the military with M15's, like they did in 1915, but most were done properly.
Let's see what other members have to say if they shine their light and thoughts about it.

-I’m trying to find other pickelhaubes for my budget, and if I do, I will come back to here to post them.

The first was repaired by B.I.A 7 (stitching reworked) and the M95(black patent calfskin liner) brass fittings were replaced with M15 tinplate ones. The small washer under the neck cover should fit under the folded legs in the middle of the rear spine. The spike has been removed, and the Teller has been incorrectly reassembled, it should be underneath. This was often done by ‘winners’ who made the spiked helmet a souvenir trophy, and removed the spike to send home. This helmet could easily be reassembled correctly. The roundels and chinstrap are missing.

The second is a genuine M15 (natural beige sheepskin liner). It is partially ‘Ersatz’, as the neck cover is made from 2 layers of fine leather, stitched along the edge, which is not ‘standard-regulation’. (war production). The headdress is in poorer condition than the one above, which is a drawback. The shell is dented.
The chinstrap and perhaps cockades are copies, not an added value!
For the same price, I prefer the first.
