Despite the USPO workers best efforts my latest Pickelhaube made it here intact!

This Prussian Garde Grenadier Officers Parade Pickelhaube from1870s made it to my home intact. I owe AOK’s Randy and Ramey a huge thank you for double packing this old soldier in a double box. Every side was crunched or punctured, the photo samples of the box speak for themselves.

However, the Post Office placed a “Sorry about the damage.” I really think “NOT.”

I signed for the package and only later took a hard look at it and realized the beating it took. So I decided to take pictures of it as I unwrapped it worring about having to file a insurance claim with the post office. But when, I saw the inner box, I relaxed somewhat but still was not happy with beating the box took.
