Dragoon helmets with silver trim

There were 28 Dragoon regiments pre WWI
18 of the regiments had helmets with silver trim ; 10 of the regiments had gilt trim
At a later date there was an AKO that all helmets were to go to silver trim ,except
the 1 Garde Dragoons who was to retain their gilt trim helmets
I think that Bruno knows the exact date of that AKO
I think that this did happen, but hard to prove as the regiments with a regular
Dragoon front plate we would not be able to tell.
The only regiments that we could tell for sure would be
D R 1 ; D R 2 & D R 9
I have a D R 9 officer in silver trim
I have photos of a D R 2 officer in silver trim in a French museum
I have never seen a D R 1 in silver ; but that is a helmet that is hard to find anyway
Do any members have anything to add on the silver trim Dragoons ?
I know that Bruno is busy with his profession

Beautiful helmets and shoulder insignia. Could someone with more talent than me please publish a book in the manner of Paul Sander's "Imperial German Hussars 1880-1910) on the Dragoon regiments? I promise to buy two!
Paul was the father , the book was really done by his son Brian Sanders
Paul had passed away , Brian did the book in honor of his father
Brian has a son who is the 3rd generation collector of the family
I understand that he collects Dragoons , but I am not sure that he could put together
a collection like his father
There is a book in the works on the collection of my friend
It will be mostly helmets , but he has all of them
It will be the helmet book to end all books on helmets
the photos have been taken
I am on standby to see if I can last to see it published

The 2 Garde Dragoons epaulettes and the M1915 double underlay straps came from Weitze
at one of the SOS .Expensive , but when I saw the set as Amy says , I just fell in love with them
no regrets

I really like the Russian crown and cyphers .
Also one of the very few regiments that had silver
crowns & cyphers
