EM M95 Grenadier helmet.

Thanks for your reply Steve,at first I also thought that it was because they changed plates, like you told me before, but since the spike-top doesn't unscrew(wich I didn't know all grenadier regiments had),and other info from Brian,I think more and more that it was an add-on,the grenadier plate.Anyway, since I only paid 450 euro's I still like it.If I find out what it really belongs to I'll probably return it to it's original self. Greetings,Coert. :thumb up:

According on what i have found it schould be
3rd grenadieren regiment konig friedrich willhelm l
If i am corect with my search this regiment was until 8th of march 16 fighting in the karpathencorps
After that date he went to the west where he was fighting until 11nd august 16
He was then reasigned into the karpathencorps after the11nd august 16
He was then back transported to the west on the 27nd november 17 where he would stay until the end of the war
This regiment has a great fighting calender if i have nailed the right regiment

http://www.regimentals.co.uk/viewphoto.php?x=-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I just found this one on the internet, looks about the same as mine, but no double holes,it's marked 2-28,and no removable spike-top....I read somewhere, probably here, but I'm not sure, that this site is not really good(the regimentals site I mean),regarding a Pioneer helmet discussed somewhere. This helmet of mine keeps buzzing me, :D

Indeed,stay away from regimentals!
I experienced fraude with Malcolm, twice in the late '70 ties.

Thanks for the tip,I read about them also,so wasn't planning on buying there. I prefer buying things from other collector's,or dealers I know are good. :)
