Pre 1860... I would say.
-The Vaterlandbandeau was introduced by A.K.O. (Allerhöchste Kabinettsorder) dd. 10.05.1860.
-This Garde Stern/Guard Star for Garde du Corps and Garde Kürassier Regiment you show here could be for Reserve/Landwehr as well. So no "Vaterland Bandeau" worn. In that case: A Landwehr Kreuz/Cross "LWK" would be worn at the 12 o'clock position. Soldered? Or pinned? But that would leave traces...
-as shown in this reference book. By James D. Turinetti p 26 and 27

I agree with Françis. I would add that this is a Garde du Corps or Garde-Kurassier officer's star.
It would be interesting to have a picture of your helmet, which should be made of tombac, with an officer's eagle, officer's chinstraps etc...
This is the Guard star for second-generation GdC or GKR officers, circa 1860 but before May. GdC-GKR M43 Off.GIF
