Help with identification needed. Tax Agent ?

Hello dear fellow members.

I like things I've never seen before, and I recently picked up this badge. It's certainly not in my area of expertise and I'm asking for your help.

From its look and from what is written on the badge I think it may be for a Prussian Tax agent or official from the Kaiserzeit.

It has four sets of holes which look like they were used to sew it onto a Uniform or Armband. Looks to be made of stamped brass and is 3 1/4 Inch tall by 2 5/8 inches wide.

Any information or a photo of it in use would be wonderful, thanks in advance. John Josef

Thanks for the verification I appreciate your response, you wouldn't happen to have any documentation on the badge or a picture of the badge in use.

Thanks again. (y)

I'm sorry, but as this is a civil administration, I don't have any documents on this subject.
Each imperial administration had plates, stamps and badges stamped with the Imperial Eagle, marking their membership of the Empire. This was the case for the Railways, Customs, Post Office, Tax Office, Justice etc...(see below)
Below, my postman's eagle, perhaps identical to the civilian one, but here for military mail, because it was hit by 2 Schrapnel impacts, and found in the ground on the Saint-Mihiel front.
