Hessian I R 117 with cover

Here is a story of this Hessian I R 117 helmet with cover .
The photo is dated 1978
I am pretty sure that I got this helmet from my collector friend
George Bush from Perryville, Mo. at the time.
I kept it up circa 1992 when I made the big mistake to sell or trade
all of my Non-Prussian helmets.
It when to a dealer / collector friend who wanted to have just one helmet.
Somewhere along the way he must have sold it the Advance Guard Militaria
because it showed up featured in a Calander issued by A G
What happened to the helmet after that I don't know .
It is one that I wished that I still had.
I could do a whole series on that.

Marvellous item ! It looks like a helmet with cover which was sold at the Dekerle Auction at Soissons in january 2017.
