Interesting Helmet

I saw that too. The seller probably heard that ALL Pickelhaube were leather. It looks like a nice example. Personally, I'd rather have a seller list and original as a repro, than a repro as and original. ;)

Looks like there are at least a few people who want to fill a hole in their collection.
 
It went for $1,476. Doesn't that seem a little high, even if it is in good shape? Is this the new price of things? Trending upwards.
 
All it takes is 2 bidders with a craving for it, combined with loaded wallets, and the bidding war commences.
I bought one in the same condition here on the forum for far less, from a member.
 
It only took two bidders to raise the price of a Stuart tank from $15K to $100K. But, I don't think that will be the case here... We'll see.

indeed; sometimes you see beautiful things appear there, but once in the last 10 minutes the price goes through the roof and sometimes way too much for what it is, apparently it is getting more and more expensive
 
I think Regimentals has one for almost $1.8k. will have go back and check if it is similar or something different
