A true attic find. Light cleaning revealed eagle matt gilding in almost perfect condition. Nothing else was done. The helmet is in good overall condition, bar a couple of flaws: the silk liner was terminally falling apart and could not be saved. The liner is also slightly damaged where it meets the shell. There is a chip - the size of a penny - near the spike basis.
