JustinG collection

Justin:

I too am fascinated by the era of airships. I have no actual artifacts but I have a lot of reading material on the subject. At one time I was toying with the idea of collecting postcards but I already have enough money sucking hobbies.

You have a great collection. Love that Luftschiff cap, it's a terrific piece.

Very nice collection (y)(y)

I also really enjoy Airships and have an interested in Graf Zeppelin.

Have you ever been to the Zeppelin Museums in Friedrichshafen and Meersburg? The one in Meersburg is very small but has a very power packed collection and is worth a visit.

We love visiting the Bodensee and always try to stay in Meersburg Lakeside front, The Airship flys all day long over the Lake and its very beautiful. If you havent been and plan to visit I could recommend a few nice places. best regards John Josef

I have been to the Friedrichshafen one twice. 2010 and 2023. I will have to check out the Meersburg collection sometime. I was also recently aware that there was a Zeppelin museum in Zeppelinheim (Near Frankfurt Flughafen).
Airships are pretty cool.

@Mike H Those are incredible. I have seen only the cypher "L" before, never a number alongside incorporated. Really cool.
Your Luftschiffer Shoulderboards would look good in a nice display; but two is rather a lot.... Maybe, only one on a display would really be the best, and most tasteful way to display this. You wouldn't want it too cluttered. Plus, you could afford a really nice display if you were to part with one. Hey, I know...... I'll take one off your hands. Looking forward hearing from you. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Lovely collection. Zeppelins are a fastinatimg topic and concept in General, and I believe their role in history tends to be overlooked, and I personally think they are immensely interesting.

If possible, I'd very much love to see some more photos of your Luftschiffer Tellermütze.

I love airship materials no matter how ephemeral it might be. That plate of the Graf Zepplin is beautiful period early modernist design work.
