Officer Helmet Kürassier Regiment "Königin" (Pommersches) Nr.2.
Pasewalk
-the Regiment was awarded the Hohenfriedberg Bandeau/scroll in 1845 to commemorate the centenary of the Schlacht bei Hohenfriedberg, den 4.Juni 1745.
-sometime after the award of this honourable Banderolle: the Regiment's strength was reduced and the first to leave for another- newly founded -Regiment were the Officers' orderlies. Saddened they had to leave. The decision was made that these men were allowed to remove the Hohenfriedberg Banderolle from the helmet and attach it to their Mütze and wear that in their new Regiment. If/when you get that Adler off to look at the back, I predict you will find some trails of silver wash that leaked onto the back at openugs, often the edges as it’s done after stamping. Would be interesting to see if possible.
-Tony, the question is well formulated!
-I'm not a hero when it comes to disassembling these Wappen. I know-but....I am trilled to discover what it looks like myself. Believe me.
