This helmet was discovered in Germany about 15 years ago as a barn find. The liner is gone, but the velvet and back and leather on the front brim are intact. There is obviously a some rusting noted that has been stabilized, especially at the end of a lobster tail. There is an old repair to the Eaglehead on the front plate that is shown in pictures. The spike when I got it was glued to the helmet and through my German connections this was carefully repaired using an original screw and it works perfectly now. A real veteran without any fake nonsense. It displays beautifully. Obviously a very rare and original helmet. 4200 plus shipping
