As promised, I am laying it on the line here, presenting my L H 1 Reserve Officer busby for your consideration. This is the one used in our logo. I have been told that it is a reproduction, however, if it is, then it is a very good one made by someone who knew exactly what he was making ie ALL the characteristics. The chin scales and kokarde look original. The fur is opossum as it should be, the piece is lined in red satin. The cords are a problem, they look like they came from an officer tunic ie the braiding as does the oval toggle. There is no Mitt Gott scroll as is correct for a reservist. You can not access the back of the wappen because of the satin liner, it is backed in black velvet as can be seen. The feldzeichen, looks good, I do not know how the cording is attached but it looks fine. The rear black cloth backing seems to be glued on but looks old.....the entire feldzeichen looks aged and proper. The kolpak is faded on the outside from sun light but the underside retains its proper ponceau red colour. I invite your comments and critique.

The slit for the feldzeichen is reinforced with stitched leather

The liner is regulation OR's not officer which again raises questions.
