Hello,

I personally do not see many issues with this helmet other than the split pins seeming to be replaced. However, I have not heard good things about the seller.
Opinions?

Thank you.

I dealt with the seller before. He doesn't take responsibility once the parcel leaves him. He will not do insurance claim for lost parcel and will not be bothered to reply your email when you chase for an answer. As payment is done through bank transfer, you have no recourse.

Notice the rear spine, which is from the 1860 model and does not match the rest of the helmet.I bought a lot of goods from him, but twice I was disappointed. In both cases, the helmets were repaired with car putty. I managed to repair them, but for people who have no idea about renovation, they were destined for the trash. It's always worth checking the goods before purchasing.

Seems to be the new policy for many, just got the definitive answer from my inssurance compagny regarding a 10k lost parcel due to the fact it was send to the wrong adress (by Herman Historica); no refund, no answers, no excuses.
I had a second loss(of 2k) with the same postal compagny (DHL) (a return parcel to Poland from France), no answers or actions by any one I contacted.
I know for sure that when the day will come to sell the collection, I will not be sending anything!

Hello Zeebas,
You were right to ask. What we call in France a ‘composite’ helmet, not to say a ‘cobbled-together’ helmet. The beige basane cap doesn't fit. It should be black. The rear spine doesn't fit, it's a dragon model. The front Saxon star is a model for the state police. The star should be nickel silver (silver) but the Saxon coat of arms should be brass (gold). The chinstrap is also questionable, mounted on cloth instead of basane (leather). It's no longer a good Saxon police helmet, and it'll never be an LGR100.

No interest. No value. The highest bidder will shoot himself in the foot.

As for lost parcels, there are now blind sales days by the kilo. There are thousands of parcels... supposedly lost by DHL, UPS and others. Given the number, I've understood that they're not lost for everyone, especially if the insurance companies don't insure them! So...lucrative business, mafia-style trafficking, underground economy???

Sorry to hear about it. It's painful, not the money part but the historical pieces inside the box.
