Hi

Just to have another model to compare with: my old regts M60 plate

Let's remark that the motto in the central oval shield is diffrent as well as the back of the shield between the 2 M60 different plates shown by KAGGR1870

Best regards

I do not have pre-1895 "Alter art" Grenadier eagle. Jean-Pierre, your M42 looking example, (top left) could this be for a pre-1867 Tschapka? I have never seen the M42 style eagle Wappen, with "Fatherland" bandeau that was not separately affixed post 1860. This one looks to be one piece?

Hello,

This eagle was on this helmet, originally a mle 1842, shortened in 1857.
The eagle is made of two parts, the "Vaterlandbandeau" was soldered in 1857 or 1860.

Ah. So it does have a seperate Bandeau. This make more sense now.

I forgot, I do have two "Alter art" Grenadier Wappen, but they are on helmets.

Model 1871 Preußen 1st, 2nd or 3rd Fußartillerie Regiments.

And a Model 1867 Preußen Ulanen Regt Nr.1 Tschapka
