M15 Kurassier and Jaeger zu Pferde parts

Trying to clean up my collection of broken, bent, rusted, or chromed, gold-plated Kurassier and JzP helmets and parts that do not make sense.

So far, I figured out the winning combination of acrylic paint from Michael's that accurately replicates the gray oxide paint applied to the model 15 versions of these helmets and accessories.

I like the way they turned out.

They look nice and clean

Jonas
Jonas, I thought so too, and especially considering how they started out. The Kurassier base and the spike with it were coated in gold plate, the Kurassier spike was bent and had rust I couldn't remove, and the other spike was coated in some weird black paint when I got it.
The helmets they are going on are not perfect, but I'm not doing perfect restorations, just attempting a combination of restoration and conservation.
