Franz Krüger was never in the Saxon Army nor a cadet. He was a Fahnenjunker in Eisenbahn-Regiment Nr. 2 promoted to Fähnrich on 24.4.04 and to Leutnant on 27.1.05 (Patent of 28.1.04 Aa). The first time he appears in the Prussian Rangliste is in the 1905 edition as a Leutnant in 1./E.R. 2.

Kompanie, but this only after 1. October 1911 till October 1913. They also wore the Tschako.

Karel, this Haube could only have been worn in the LGR100....The only saxon unit with silver chinscales....I must have been blind... ](*,)

I must admit that I was worried a bit when you showed this list, but also assumed you were right about it all the time. But don't worry, nobody else noticed it and at the end you brought new light in the darkness...

Karel, thank you. I have refound my spiritual peace now :D :D :D
The other saxon units that I named over there wore indeed all brass chinscales with silver Rosettes, but chinstraps with silver fittings. I guess that´s why I made this mistake... :wink:
Only with such a chinstrap could your helmet have been worn in all those other units.
Thanks God, it wears chinscales!

Drats! I'd have been all over another trip to Belgium (I'd have to bring my better half), especially to visit with fellow collectors like you! Well, we have Belgian (Leffe etc) and German (English too) beers in the basement cooling, so tonight I'll celebrate with all of you.
