Christmas will be good for a collector in TX
Here are a pair of SDKFZ 251 with pak guns.
These were a stop gap measure for Germany's need for tank destroyers.
My Firefly kit has been out for a few years now and the molds are long gone.
I had a guy who wanted me to build a couple and I reached out to a 1/18 scale collectors board member to see if he wanted my old kits and he was willing to part with a few.
So here is my first Firefly build along with a Beute Sherman.
I saw a pic of this Beute Sherman and someone makes a decal sheet for it and I could not resist .
It has been a while since I have posted any of my consignments but I have been busy.
Not quite done but possibly the only M4A3E8s (The Easy 8) on the planet in 1/18th scale.
I also have done a series of Pacific Shermans.
Specifically Iwo Jima Shermans.
I made and cast the sand bags, side wooden planks, water tank and rear wading trunk.
I had a buddy of mine 3D print the hatch cages.
This was based on a highly modified Bravo Team Sherman.
The tanks on the back of some of the Shermans is a water tank.
They were repurposed gas tanks off of the Marine Stuarts.
The Stuart had 2 tanks on the back of the light tank and were jettisonable in case of emergencies.
The Marines learned their lesson from the Guadalcanal campaign were there was never enough water for the troops.
Almost every other Sherman had the water tanks mounted so the guys could fill their canteens.
There was a seen in the PACIFIC series were they showed some of the guys cleaning barrels
They wondered why they were doing this so they kind of did it half azzed.
I think that it was these barrels that were used on the back of the Shermans.
So the Marines on Iwo had enough water, but I would imagine that it was tainted with gasoline.
Here we have Battling Bitch.
Batt B is a semi mid M4A1 with a cast hull.
It is on the front cover of the Squadron Signal book on Shermans.
It has the Cullin device that was used to break out of the hedgroves after Normandy.
Almost all of the upper hull I make out of cast resin.
The bottom hull with running gear is a Bravo Team Sherman.
A buddy of mine 3D printed the Cullin device and .30 cal machine gun.
