Mystery Zweispitz

Howdy all, hope everyone is well!

I’m helping my friend identify this Zweipitz that came in.

It appears to be Hessian based off the cost of arms and cockade. There isn’t any stamping.

It also came with these shoulder boards as well and these arm bands.

Any help on identifying these would be very appreciated! As well as price estimate.

All the best,

Dane Jensen

I am no expert on heraldry, but I think some Hessian-related house is a good guess. Those look like lions to me, and assuming the colors are age-darkened silver and red both point to Hesse. The crest has three helmets, which I think means the bearer was heir to three fiefdoms. All of the crowns are Fürstenkrone, indicating a principality. If you could track down that specific heraldic shield, you'd know for sure and could maybe ID whomever the "M" is for. What an interesting puzzle.

Hard to say but the button on the hat looks like the Wurttemberg crest.
Thing is, me and my friends checked everything from the crests, to the monograms. We couldn’t find anything to match.

The button has two lions on it, wurrtemburg tends to have the lion and stag.

Okay I see that now. Very strange as it looks a bit like the Wurttemburg crown but two lions are normally Bavaria. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will jump in soon.

Also, I forgot to mention. This item came in with two other Hessian haubes.

All of which were allegedly looted from a museum by a G.I.

Of course, I can’t confirm but all these items thst came in were quite rare.
