My humble contribution of the moment:
This Sunday, I came back from vacation with a K.R.7 M67 helmet I'd acquired on the way home. I couldn't resist taking a photo in front of the Rezonville sign. Then more photos in front of the Denkmal of H.R.16 Schleswig, the ultimate advance of the Totenritt of the von Bredow Brigade (KR7 & UR16). At this point, the charge had to turn around, and returned to its starting point, half-decimated.
A pilgrimage after a 150-year absence!

That is very interesting to see that 1867 back to that battlefield. Wonderful yet poignant.

June 2th coming from Verdun-sur-Meuse I had to pick-up mon épouse and her sisters at Metz earlier as planned.
Unfortunately there wasn't time left to visit the monuments along the D903 however visit Musée de Gravelotte the Friday before.
Thus many thanks for these particular photos as I like to visit the battlefields as well.
