A helmet I was sorely lacking in my collection, this M18 helmet made by Hermann Weissenburger, purchased straight out of the SOS. Other than the missing half of the chinstrap and some paint loss, this helmet is in excellent condition.

Helmet pads are in excellent shape; the liner retains its original drawstring. This helmet probably saw more use in collectors hands than the war

An up close shot of the pads. This one still has it’s original blue stencil lines for cutting and assembly

This pad has red stencil lines for the same reason as the previous pad

A close up of the drawstring
some makers markings underneath the tongues of the pads

A name written on the chinstrap, can’t quite make it out
