New M18 helmet

A helmet I was sorely lacking in my collection, this M18 helmet made by Hermann Weissenburger, purchased straight out of the SOS. Other than the missing half of the chinstrap and some paint loss, this helmet is in excellent condition.

Helmet pads are in excellent shape; the liner retains its original drawstring. This helmet probably saw more use in collectors hands than the war

This pad has red stencil lines for the same reason as the previous pad

The chipping does give the look of two layers of paint but one look at the Original AK 66 stamping in the neck guard tells the story.

IMO period painted shell, no doubt.
