Good find!!! The side posts are interesting. They are usually rounded, not flattened. The finish on the inner side of the rear visor should be un-painted or black I believe. The helmet is for enlisted and the wappen for officer or private purchase.

I‘m sorry, but when I look at the detail photos, I start to doubt nearly all of the parts.
  • I have never seen such the folded corners of the trimm on the front visor and the rear visor. As far as I know, they weren‘t messed up so overlapping at the time.
  • Unfortunately, the helmet eagle seems to be a reproduction when I look at the back. The star was apparently painted gold. The Oldenburg coat of arms has a very good quality in the imprint, but the mounting tabs seem doubtful to me. And since the eagle is not original, I get a stomachache.
  • The chinscales and cockades are unfortunately reproductions, as you have already written.
I would now unfortunately assume that the complete helmet is an aged reproduction 🫥

Sandy;
After seeing the back of the front plate, I agree with you

As J-L. Larcade already mentioned in his books: fake Wappen appearing on Paris fleemarkets as early as the 60ies. 😬
