Royal Hanoverian Army

My grandmother's family is Hannoverian, so I have always thought anything from Hannover is really interesting.
Years ago Sotheby's had a sale for the ex-royal family at Schloss Marienburg. Some of the suprevests were sold from the Hannoverian Garde du Korps. Not mine, but I have seen this one in person. Weitze still has some on his website as well.

Very nice! Thank you both very much for showing! Although having no link to the kingdom of Hanover I like the Hanover helmets a lot! So much variety of models during the only 30 years, the kingdom existed as an fully independent state. Somehow underestimated in my point of view.

I remember the 2005 Marienburg auction, too. Incredible pieces! I tried to buy something, but didn’t have a chance at that time…

My great grandmother was born in Hanover and immigrated to the USA as a little girl. My avatar is a photo of her father not long before they left Germany. Hence my interest
