Tall and elegant Schirmmütze for a Bavarian Officer of Infantry or the Schweres Reiter-Regiments of cavalry. Brilliant Bavarian blue and poppy red colors. Cream silk liner and ersatz sweatband. All stitching tight, and obviously a higher-quality cap when originally made. Excellent Reich and Bavarian cockades, the latter with blue velvet center. A few scattered spots of moth tracking and one or two bites, confined to the top of the cap. A beautiful example.
