Hi all
The next one to go is this very nice Hannoverian Pioneer Officer's haube. As you can see there’s a slight dent in the spike, but apart from that, it's in pretty good shape. The shell was restored for me by Wojtek in Poland who as you can see, did a great job - front and rear peaks were restitched and the laquer refinished.
As far as worth, Weitze has one on his books at €3700 or £3100. As this has had work done on it to refurbish the shell so cant be described as 'original' I'm looking for £2500 plus postage, which I think is a pretty fair price.

Best wishes to you, for your sale of this rare, nice-looking helmet.

Oh dear, no interest then? Is my price too high or are the logistics of exporting/importing items like this getting too expensive?

Between here on Pickelhaubes and Age of Kings, there have been a LOT of nice helmets for sale lately, so those who have been buying may be taking a breather. Perhaps people also worry about being able to even GET their items if they live in the US. I'm STILL waiting for a parcel that can't be shipped out of Poland.

Hello, sorry, it is a nice helmet and interesting, but because of all the import costs from England to Europe it has become very bad. I recently bought something for about 650 pounds and had to pay almost 225 euros for import and then another 32 euros in costs. Sorry, I think that England will no longer be interesting to buy anything from there, unless there are big discounts, sorry, that's my experience. I will no longer buy anything from England. Sorry.

I just got a helmet from Jeremy's collection, send from the UK to my home in France.
It arrived (save and sound!) in a week time by regular post and no import costs!
The British postal services gives you a very good "track & trace" follow up information, about where your parcel is and what will be next!
It was send with no inssurance and as a gift.

Haha, yes it’s all a bit of a lottery at the moment. Everything’s gone to pot since Brexit and I suspect that dear President Trump hasn’t helped the US either

A lottery indeed, or; "living on the edge"....
But as I stated before, on several occasions, I had two expensive parcels lost, with inssurance and I got zip, not even excuses!

It's certainly a lottery, luckily the costs from America are only the tax, about 55 euros or 65 dollars, so that's not too bad, but England, sorry, is hopeless
