Just a few photos of part of my Imperial items.

I have more (awards, soft headgear, another Helmet or two and other stuff) but this is all that I had on my phone.

Most of my collection (95%) though is WW2 so have a ways to go.....

Very nice helmets and a creative way to post the pictures! Is that a 1st Garde Dragon hanging out in one of the bottom right-side photos? #12 I think...

Thanks! I think it is a 1st Garde-Regt. zu Fusilier Miter. It's quite salty with the yellow wool being quite faded, most of the silver wash being gone and missing the chin strap and Puschel. But it will have to do, until I can find a nicer and complete example.

Thanks guys. Was at the cigar lounge and not.much on TV last night so created these collages

Nothing super fancy or rare, but still learning.

I like the leathery cap but what is it? Rob

Thanks Rob.

This is a very interesting visor that I've had some good discussions with some visor guys. It is believed to be a fairly rare Imperial German Kraftfahr (Drivers) visor made out of oil cloth and not the more common leather.

Has a tag on the inside with name and unit. I've not fully translated the name but the driver's unit looks to be "K Nr 27".

Kokarden may have been upgraded/replaced but have been on the visor a really long time and consensus is that it was period done.

I've had it for years but if I remember correctly this was found locally by a picker friend of mine and was never in a collection

I can always post it in a separate thread if desired.

Its very cool something that I dont see for sale ever, like Landsturm leathery caps, Rob

The thought was that these oilskin caps predate the leather Kraftfahr caps. Probably pre war. If true I'm not sure but agree, you never see these.

Great photo work Michael, and a very discerning eye for quality to be sure.

Really like that 100th Saxon Grenadiers haube!

That was one of my first Haube. I think I got it from Espenlaub. It's a nice vulcan fiber example.

I can post it, as well as any other items here if people would like.
