Someone's getting ripped off

Yes, but the seller states clearly: "Alter unbekannt. Ich bin kein Experte. Privat-Verkauf.", translates as "age unknown, I'm no expert, private sale" (private sale means that under German law the seller is not obliged to take the item back).
Reading the descriptions is critical.

What's even worse is that it was listed as a buy it now for half the final selling price.:eek:

I remember this one sold some time ago on eBay from that place in England that makes replicas and sells all types of really nicely made WWI items that they make including many helmets and pieces of fabric painted up to represent WWI Planes.

The problem I have with places like that is once their items are sold you just never know who will buy it and where it will end up. Sadly they have the potential that someone will dishonestly sell them on as an original.

The thing with replicas is they don't have to fool everyone just the one who buys it, and although originally sold as a replica they really just create the potential for fraud.
