Swedish Pickelhaube helmet

Hi everyone,

I’m new here, so apologise if I publish this message in wrong chat box:

For sale is an original Swedish Pickelhaube helmet, likely from the late 1800s to early 1900s, in very good and authentic condition. This is not a reproduction – it’s an actual piece worn in service, showing natural signs of age and use.

The front plate bears the Swedish royal coat of arms with the Tre Kronor (Three Crowns) and a royal crown. These helmets were based on the classic German design, but this one was used by the Swedish army, possibly by Livregementets Lätta (LL/5) or a similar elite regiment, as indicated by the original interior label.
  • Constructed of leather and brass
  • Complete with original interior lining and visible handwritten label (“LL/5”)
  • Retains original spike and side rosettes
  • No restoration – completely original condition
This is a rare and historically valuable helmet, especially due to its Swedish origin, which is much less common than the German counterparts. A great addition for serious collectors of militaria or 19th-century European military history.

Please feel free to ask for more detailed photos or information!

The helmet is a Swedish NCO dragon helmet m/1886 the one the on right in this photo, the other is for infantry m/1845 made in Berlin by Dotti.

Those m/1886 helmets were only used by the North dragons and the Scania dragons here in Sweden up until 1927
