The Jensen Collection Part VI (Collection over time)

Howdy all, I hope everyone is well! Well I felt it was about time I did a proper update on the collection and how far she’s came over these last few years. Since I turn 20 on the 14th next month it’ll be exactly 10 years since I started collecting and building this collection. I wanted to show the progression of this collection over the last decade!

To start off, here’s the collection at the start of 2016,

Yep, that’s it! Just these two! The iron cross belonged to my Great great grandfather whom fought at the battle of passchendaele In 1917 for the German army. There he was awarded his Iron cross for saving a comrade while under fire. The photo was bought at a local antique store beginning the collection.

Thank you! If it weren’t for that iron cross I don’t think I ever would have gotten into this hobby. My grandmother found it among a bunch of old books and thought it was some English award, my grandfather who knew what it was gave it to me and told me the story of my great great grandfather. Unfortunately no record of him remains as we’ve tried tracing him down but have had no luck.
 
An Iron Cross that belonged to your great great grandfather is the crown jewel of your collection. How many can say they have something like that?

Do you have a photo of him?

Unfortunately not, I may ask my grandmother to check but since we’ve lost the record it may be hard.
