FOR SALE: $550 (plus shipping) OTTOMAN FEZ
Produced by Schlick Fez in Salonica (aka Thessaloniki) The fez is made of high quality felt in overall nice condition and the lining has a silver embossed Ottoman coat of arms. Fez with this emblem, guaranteeing Ottoman use, are very hard to find.

FOR SALE: $650 (plus shipping) OTTOMAN FEZ
This felt fez has the coat of arms of the Ottoman Empire embossed in silver on the interior lining. The sweatband is brown oilcloth. Most fez sold in Turkey in the early 1900’s were produced by Austrian companies in town located in the modern Czech Republic. The lack of a company logo or address and the exclusive use of Arabic writing makes me believe that this fez was produced Imperial Fez and Uniform Factory in Istanbul. An extremely rare piece.

FOR SALE: $1000 (plus shipping) OTTOMAN OFFICER KALPAK
I believe the red color of the top would indicate a staff officer. The cap shows little wear and is an exceptionally rare piece. The Ottoman coat of arms is embossed in silver on the interior lining. The sweatband is oilcloth. The relative low quality of production leads me to believe this is an export product of an Austrian company, possibly late in the war.

FOR SALE: $550 (plus shipping) WWI SERBIAN ENLISTED CAP
This cap was produced in France to refit the Serbian army that had been evacuated to Corfu. It was part of a group of similar caps acquired from a costume house by Advance Guard Military and sold in their catalogs in the 1990’s. Most of them had French inspection stamps dated 1916 (if I recall correctly). Unfortunately, this cap has no such stamp. The blotted out lettering is the costume house stamp I assume. The two 7th HUS stamps are somewhat of a mystery to me since I know of no such Serbian unit. However, they do look original to the cap. An authentic Serbian WWI cap is a VERY rare item.

FOR SALE: $250 (plus shipping) BRITISH BRODIE HELMET
With complete lining and sand finish. The helmet is stamped HS 497. Unfortunately the original chinstrap is broken on one place BUT should be an easy repair.

FOR SALE: $350 (plus shipping) WWI BOSNIAN FEZ
This is the model 1892 fez for Bosnian regiments in the Austro-Hungarian army. This fez is made of woven wool, not felt. It has no issue stamps or the two cords for the field badge and is probably a private purchase piece. This type of fez was made and worn without a lining or sweatband.

More photos available. Thanks!
