Verdun Fort Douaumont

Greetings, I did a private tour to Verdun. Let me say, this was very helpful as this battlefield for the most part is a lovely drive along country roads, there are some areas that have the Parking P along the road but, you would completely miss or have no Idea what is off the road. There were several areas where there was caution signs for the possibility of unexploded ordnance I was grateful to have a guide to show us some cool items. So without further adieu:
It was 108degrees Fahrenheit this day so, going into the cool underground section of the fortress was a very welcome temperature change, especially for this Alaskan.

If you are not familiar with the area, there is a lot to see and having a tour guide is very helpful. I used Viator (TripAdvisor). Very highly recommended. I will post other photos but this is just a sampling.

Best Regards,
JustinG
