the crazy man who asks and the foolish man who gives is the translator who writes soI don’t understand what you mean by the fool who asks and the fool who gives, or the context in which it is supposed to be received?
Baden Pioneer....What did you like James ?
Steve

JamesGuy's let's keep it positive, this forum way beyond others is known for being a nice and comfortable place to participate in.
we also have to remember we have people here from all over the world, and for many English is not the first language, many use translators which are ok abut can make things sound different then they meant.
Pickelhaubes are a passion for all of us, and we all want what sometimes we cannot get. I get frustrated as well when Items go so fast, but see no other way for them to put helmets on, they are very fair in that they tell everyone the specific date and time for new helmets.
Have a great weekend.

One of my favorite movies Steve, got hooked on it when I realized all the songs are by Queen.James
Well written
as in the movie Highlander ; when a single helmet is offered for sale and more that one collector
wants to buy it ;"There can only be one "

You are correct Bruno, I liked it that way to, it was luck of the draw."I get frustrated as well when Items go so fast, but see no other way for them to put helmets on...".
There is another way, James; in fact, it is what they used to do: post new helmets randomly, as they come, at any time on the website. It was so much more fun.
First, it matches more closely the spirit of collecting, the hunting part, where by definition you cannot predict when the next opportunity will show up. Second, it avoids the one-fixed hour-a-week frenzy, and can limit frustration and appreciation mistakes. Competition between collectors remains, but at least you normally have more than one minute to examine and assess a helmet.
Well said, Bruno. I agree."I get frustrated as well when Items go so fast, but see no other way for them to put helmets on...".
