Other than the Rare, high-end Wurttemburg Ulan ensemble, did anyone notice anything else with the listings?
Call me out if I'm wrong, but I seem to be observing a bit of a price adjustment on helmets. And it wasn't an upward adjustment. Am I wrong, am I noticing a drop in prices here with Friday's offerings (Other than the Baden Officer which didn't sell, and the sold Wurtt Ulan). Yeah, the Saxon didn't sell, and it didn't have a chinstrap. But I thought it was still very reasonably priced. The Tin ersatz was a few hundred dollars less than what we've seen earlier in the year, and even a year ago, for a complete example. The very nice Paymaster was very reasonably priced, and cheaper than others have been listed at a year or more ago. The M95 Wurttemburg e.m. that Amy snagged was very reasonably priced. A few hundred dollars less than similar examples have sold in the past couple of years or so. Are we witnessing a downward price correction? Of course we didn't see bargain prices on the recent Hermann auction, but those were documented once-in-a-lifetime Calvary Museum pieces coming to the market after decades in private museum hands.
