weekly sales in America

I liked that Prussian tin ersatz by Weissenburger that they had that would have been a step up in condition for me. Lucky for me it sold before I had time to think about it. :ROFLMAO::LOL:
It has a nice liner. All my 4 of them have markings on the front visors.
I got one of them from James.

A nice update
I think that 4 out of the 7 sold or they are on hold
Wurttemberg U R 19 officer to parade and in the
original carry / storage case sold for $ 7,500
I think that the I R 125 was nice
Stevfe
I was thinking of the UR 19. I have the UR 19 reserve complete as well. It was on hold by the time I woke up, literally woke up from bed I mean. 😅

Other than the Rare, high-end Wurttemburg Ulan ensemble, did anyone notice anything else with the listings?

Call me out if I'm wrong, but I seem to be observing a bit of a price adjustment on helmets. And it wasn't an upward adjustment. Am I wrong, am I noticing a drop in prices here with Friday's offerings (Other than the Baden Officer which didn't sell, and the sold Wurtt Ulan). Yeah, the Saxon didn't sell, and it didn't have a chinstrap. But I thought it was still very reasonably priced. The Tin ersatz was a few hundred dollars less than what we've seen earlier in the year, and even a year ago, for a complete example. The very nice Paymaster was very reasonably priced, and cheaper than others have been listed at a year or more ago. The M95 Wurttemburg e.m. that Amy snagged was very reasonably priced. A few hundred dollars less than similar examples have sold in the past couple of years or so. Are we witnessing a downward price correction? Of course we didn't see bargain prices on the recent Hermann auction, but those were documented once-in-a-lifetime Calvary Museum pieces coming to the market after decades in private museum hands.

I thought there was no sale, so I was wrong, unfortunately beautiful Pickelhaubes, but I am looking for a nice complete Württemberg, that's the scribbles of collecting, but okay, we continue looking and wait, curious to see what they will conjure up from the European tour they made during their stay with us, the hunt is open

Dear Alan,
Prices really depend on the sellers and in this case AOK to strike a deal.
At moment, only AOK prices are within reach but I don't think this will last once the world economy picks up.
Collectors are just any human where we could not fill our stomach by eating haubes. Steel helmets are even more difficult to swallow. So during difficult times, one just have to let go for fast cash.
One look at the prices of WW1 steel helmets tell a different story. They are more than double nowadays. And even if u r prepared to pay, they are not readily available.

Regards

I did notice that the famous markings were a bit faded on this one, but the outside was beautiful and the liner and felt pad were really nice.

Just curious what time is it locally for you when these new items drop on Fridays? So, nothing for you this week.

Got the Wurttemberg EM this week

Usually it's 10pm but with day light saving on AOK end, it's now 11pm. I have to take coffee to ensure my eyes are opened. Lol

There are some of them gone quickly, I only watched for 2 minutes and voila, my favorite was gone: Württemberg field artillery1764343764028.png

haha, you don't collect these but it could be that it starts to live and you start to collect in it, it's a disease and watch out for that feeling

Oh trust me I’ve been collecting long enough to know! (My entire life lol, just not always Imperial German!)

The one thing keeping me from going nuts on wappen is the room with which to do so. Tony has an amazing wappen display set up. Had I something like that then maybe lol.

Ahhh...Doug watch out here! You have visited the Bunker numerous times like myself and seen T's wappens. I succumbed and now have at least 30+ in my collection. You are on a slippery slope Sir! Beware! :)
