Here is a helmet I've been searching for a while.

Gabe:

Lucky you! These are very hard to find. I have had an M15 officer''s spike sitting in the parts drawer for years but I've never encountered a helmet.

Thanks Gabe and Philippe thank you for sharing photos of these unique type Pickelhaubn. They are great!
Best regards
John

Here is another one of the same kind. Nice matt patina, and gilding almost intact on chinscales, visor rim, spike, and everywhere else. This one was certainly not polished often...
Holy cow Bruno - that's an exceptional helmet in every way! Just beautiful.

And I think you maybe buried the lede by labeling this gorgeous FR34 "another one." 😺

Extremely nice, Philippe! Dark brown or green silk lining?
I also like those transition models very much. The M15 officer Tschapka is another most desirable one.
Thank you Bruno. Dark green.
Helmet worn by Leutnant Otto Bögl, 4/ KBJR19.

And with some period newspapers under it, mentioning the name of a fellow officer of the same unit and company (Leutnant Heinrich Riedner, KIA 9.5.17) who subscribes to this newspaper (Fränkischer Kurier from Nürnberg and Nürnberger Zeitung, dated 10 March and 14, 15 April 1917)
