    10th Jager battalion plate

Are you familiar with the economic ruin of Germany in the 1920s and 1930s? Soldiers and officers were begging on the streets. A loaf of bread was selling for 10 million marks. The reason these catalogs exist in my opinion, is that the companies and shops had literally tons of Imperial German...

    10th Jager battalion plate

Stunning! Is the crown on your shako front plate voided Adler? I have never seen a 10th Jaegers officer front plate that was a one piece stamping like EM.

    10th Jager battalion plate

Sorry, I hit "submit" too quickly. I should have added that the posts have clearly been replaced. No split-bottom and the soldering is far too sloppy. No way that is period. But I still think that plate is a good one. Copies are just not made like that.

WW1 German Anti Aircraft: Flak Artillery

    Look at the FLAK cartridge casings at the bottom of Tony's guide. He has an example of a strap on the 88mm page. http://www.kaisersbunker.com/cc/cc21.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    10th Jager battalion plate

All officer front plates had long threaded posts like this when they were made. When the helmet was put together they were clipped off with metal snips. The ebay plate has never been on a shako. That is in my opinion, a no-question original, just not very good quality. The gilding was also poor...

    What regiment is it?

Its Infanterie-Leib-Regt. (München) is it not? Looks like a nice helmet.

Fair enough. I assumed that this section was for valid questions about helmets, not pointing out EVERY SINGLE fake. It is endless. Apologies. I'll stay out of this section.

Again. Who cares? Far too much of this forum is you playing ebay police. Do you even collect pickelhaubes?

    Saxon Bambus Tschako

Who cares? I know a few collectors down here have left this forum as they are tired of you being the ebay Police. I think I am not far behind.

    Another one...

Edwin your collection is coming along nicely! I know that in Europe, a 42cm is the one casing that everyone seems to be after for obvious reasons. Impossible to find. Very people will ever even see one in a collection. I would love to see this one, which I know you have looked at too! Look at...

    New aquisition

Everything you could possibly want to know about casings is on Tony's Kaisers bunker site. http://www.kaisersbunker.com/cc/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I found your casing in about a minute. With photos of the guns.

    JR 179 OR's Helme

I don't see any corresponding holes in the liner, where the outside holes are, it would have gone straight through the mans head. Inside your helmet would be gore. Perhaps this is some sort of damage from it kicking around for 100 years. Garage or something? But it is a superb example, so nice...

    WWI memorabilia price war

"Matthew Haley, head of books and manuscripts at auctioneer Bonhams, says that based on other recent military anniversaries, the value of most First World War memorabilia will rise by between 20 and 50 per cent." This is nonsense. "Price wars". He has no idea what he is talking about. Go back...

    M15 Husaren Pelzmütze

What a beautiful piece. Not many collectors will ever say they owned a M1915 busby, and fewer still in that condition. Wonderful! :bravo:

I noticed as I double checked here: http://www.kaisersbunker.com/gtp/New/infantry1.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; So I emailed the bunker and he told me XVIII Army Corps had no Bekleidungsamt in 1911. A beautiful helmet.
